She claimed : “Now everyone’s on an equal footing… Before that, we never knew from one day to the following what mood or cruel comments to expect. The year was intolerable because it became so stressful. We’ll go on.
The Sugababes hasn’t just been about one person.” regardless of the latest line-up upheaval, the chart-topping band claim to be on top form once more. Amelle promised : “We are back strongly, stronger than ever.” Jade was only given a couple of minutes to choose if she wished to join the Sugababes and although she was in the act of launching a solo career she knew she could not turn the chance down. The 22-year-old beauty asserted : “I awakened to one of the Sugababes management team screaming thru my letterbox… I realized this was not a chance I could afford to miss. But I’d blown any probabilities of a solo career by taking off like that.” Previous and founding Sugababes member Keisha Buchanan has sued for the rights to the band name that she helped form back in 1998. She is demanding the current three remaining members of the band, Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen, refer to themselves as something else or pay Keisha a huge one-off sum up which may be millions of pounds! An insider uncovers : “This is a landmark case and will send shockwaves thru the industry. The Sugababes are one of the most successful girl bands in history, but if they’re compelled to change their name it might be totally tragic for them.”.
