PostHeaderIcon The Popularity of Name a Star Gifts

Why are name a star gifts so popular these days?

1. For each person who may read an article about astronomy in a book or magazine, a thousand have checked their daily horoscope. Surprising but true, most laymen mix up astronomers and astrologers and make no differentiation. Why? It’s because astrology refers to a human’s personal relationship with the celestial powers. Why is that so influential? The belief that what occurs in the stars affects a human’s personal life has been a component of our civilization for as long as we know. The scientist Johannes Kepler, who demonstrated without a doubt that the planets revolve around the Sun not the Earth, gained his living doing horoscopes for the royal families of Europe. So while astronomy was supplanting astrology, astrology was still viewed a very prestigious profession. It wasn’t until Sir Isaac Newton started to distinguish the manner by which planets, moons, and stars affected one another in space by way of his laws of gravitation did the culture start to think about the stars as something else besides precursors of their life’s fate.

2. The belief that stars hold a personal connectedness with humans began with the Greek notion that the entire universe orbits around the Earth. If the universe rotates around the Earth, then what takes place in that universe, so one may suppose, certainly must impact me. That is why star divination to this day bears such a grand impact on the world, especially when it professes to foretell the future.
